Hello,
I just signed up to this forum and am a pictureframer from New Zealand. I was reading the abovementioned book by Michele dhont. Not sure, whether the author is male or female, but I can that Dhont is a Dutch name meaning the dog. It is a very and informative book, but wonder whether this is a book aimed at - or prefessional pictureframers. It does mention something about a French pictureframing exam. The techniques described are different from that of the Prefessional Picture Framers Association. For example matcutting is done by me with a bevel, whereas in the book is is done with a straight cut. Is this normal for pictureframers in France?
Perhaps someone likes to reply to this post. Thank you.
Kai
